After some trepidation from myself and Andy to organise an event for the Fletcher owners we both feel it was well worth it! We decided that we wanted to organise a weekend far from a 'caravan club up at 7am around the flag pole' and went for relaxed weekend style. It was an enjoyable weekend with an opt-in, opt-out atitude, which was going to go one way or another - I think all 65 owners will agree which way it went.
After sending a few letters out to our recent owners I was suprised how much the word got around, even having requests from Fletcher owners in Iceland. Over 20 boats attended, 65 owners, (2 none owners - which now are), 1 dog, and alot of new tents of various shape and sizes!
Owners came from all over the country and it was alot of owners first weekend camping which, most owners spent 3hrs travelling and 4hrs putting up their tents -great fun!
It was great to see owners of mixed experiences driving on the sea and with thanks to the guys from PPT we had some great days out. We all did a great job getting across to Cowes on the Saturday with the wakes from the ferrys and the high seas! A few owners where pleasantly suprised on how well there boats went.
'I knew Fletchers were good, but NOT that good' - Mr Freeman after taking his Wakesport 17 out.
Both myself and Andy would like to thank all the owners who made it and we can't wait to see you at the next one.
